Stanley Kubrick directed and Matthew Modine stars in this war drama. There are outdoor signs and a glass with the logo of the Viet Nam brew ’33’. We also spot a couple cans of Budweiser in the tent.

Born on the Fourth of July (1989)

Oliver Stone nabbed an Oscar for ‘Best Director’ for this bio-drama about Ron Kovic who was paralyzed in the Viet Nam war. Tom Cruise stars and is spotted with bottles of Miller High Life and Carta Blanca. Willem Dafoe and Tom Sizemore abbeer with fuzzy bottles of what I believe to be San Miguel.

Bat*21 (1988)

Danny Glover is a pilot who must rescue a beer-less Gene Hackman who was shot down behind enemy lines in Viet Nam. The ‘Lethal Weapon’ star appears with Budweiser bottles, cans and a bow tie neon. There’s also background green Carlsberg bottles.

Elliot Gould & Donald Sutherland are field doctors in this Korean War dramatic comedy that spawned the hit TV show. There are plenty of Pabst Blue Ribbon flat top cans and a few Budweisers too. Tom Skerritt and Sally Kellerman also appear with brew.

Apocalypse Now (1979)

Martin Sheen leads the way with Schlitz, ’33’ and Budweiser scenes in this Frances Ford Coppola Viet Nam War epic. Marlon Brando, as Col Kurtz, appears in photo next to Bud can and a bespectacled Harrison Ford sneaks into frame with the same can. Robert Duval, Laurence Fishburne and Sam Bottoms round out this fabulous beer cast.

Tigerland (2000)

Colin Farrell finds himself in Fort Polk Louisiana for infantry training at the last stop before Viet Nam. Bottles of New Orleans brews Dixie and Jax are spotted front and center.

This picture, about one of the bloodiest battles of the Viet Nam War, features Don Cheadle in frame with bottles of “33”. Dylan McDermott and Steven Weber are in the hot tub scene with local working girls and cans of Miller High Life.

Michael J. Fox finds himself on the outs with his own squad when his Sgt., Sean Penn, kidnaps a village girl. Budweiser flat top cans are everywhere and there’s a menu board with several brands listed including Falstaff, Hamm’s and Tiger. John C. Reilly makes his film debut in this Viet Nam drama.

This film won an Oscar for Best Picture and Oliver Stone nabbed Best Director for this gritty Viet Nam drama. Charlie Sheen and Tom Berenger lead an all star cast that also includes Forest Whitaker, Willem Dafoe and Keith David. There are numerous Budweiser sightings my favorite being Kevin Dillon ripping apart a can with his teeth.

This 5 Oscar winning film (Christopher Walken Best Supporting) illustrates the impact of Viet Nam on the lives of people in a small steel town in western Pennsylvania. Tropic Thunder (2008)

A blonde, buzz cutted Jack Black is seen with Singapore’s finest brew, Tiger. We also get a twelve pack of the import on the back of an ATV in this mock war comedy. A beerless Robert Downey Jr. gives a memorable performance in this one.
