This drama features a great cast and beer sightings and was nominated for 3 Oscars including ‘Best Picture’. A great movie with a great cast deserves, and gets, great beer placement. Edward Norton, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Barry Pepper and Rosario Dawson clearly enjoy their imports with sightings of Foster’s, Harp, Tsingtao and Bass. Budweiser bottle and Bud Light neon also appear.

Gran Torino (2008)

Clint Eastwood portrays a salty Korean vet with prejudices against his Hmong neighbors. Pabst Blue Ribbon cans and Tsingtao bottles are generous and glorious. Clint to goes BTM (beer to mouth) with both brands for another ‘Beers on Film’ Hall of Fame effort.

Mickey Rourke stars with a couple bottles of Lowenbrau and Eric Roberts in this gritty New York crime drama. Burt Young is also spotted with a bottle of Michelob but the most ‘boss’ beer scene is Jack Kehoe next to a beautiful Tsingtao neon.
