Timothy Van Patten is the leader of a gang of psychotic high schoolers in this tale of youth gone wild. Schmidt’s of Philadelphia is the beer of choice for these juvenile delinquents. Michael J. Fox makes his big screen debut but unfortunately doesn’t appear in a beer scene.

Mark Frechette stars in this portrait of life in America in the 1960’s. At the store we see Pabst Blue Ribbon, Country Club and Schmidt’s of Philadelphia signs. There’s also great Olympia and Lucky neons, a kid in an Oly t-shirt and two hidden Eastside Old Tap signs.

Drop, The (2014)

There are an impressive 18 brands on display (or partial display) in this James Gandolfini crime drama. Bottles of Heineken Light, Stella Artois, Dos Equis and Newcastle Brown Ale are sighted. There are 7 neons including Stroh’s, Schlitz and Yuengling. We also spy a Corona football, a Guinness tapper, a Schaefer sign and an oversized Budweiser bottle light.

This is the Holy Grail of all hockey movies. Paul Newman plays the aging, leisure suit wearing player/coach of the minor league Charlestown Chiefs. Invincible (2006)

Mark Wahlberg stars in the true story of Vince Papale, a bartender who makes the Philadelphia Eagles as a walk on. There’s lots of good stuff here…Yuengling case and bottles, Schaefer tray, Rheingold sign and a cooler with Bud, PBR, Schlitz and Rolling Rock. Elizabeth Banks co-stars and is seen with some great tappers including Miller, Schmidt’s and Michelob.

Yo Adrian, this film won 3 Oscars including Best Picture. Sylvester Stallone stars as the title character who cuts out the Schmidt’s (of Philadelphia) and Schlitz for a title shot at Apollo Creed. Burt Young and Burgess Meredith both appear in scenes with brew.

Carlito’s Way (1993)

Al Pacino brings back a couple of his buddies from “Scarface” in this Puerto Rican crime drama. Dos Equis bottles are generously spotted and we get also Blatz and XX neon signs while Al is delivering a pool stick beat down. There’s also a background Schmidt’s clock.
