Wrong Man, The (1956)

Alfred Hitchcock directed Henry Fonda in this true story of an innocent man mistaken for a criminal. There’s great vintage supermarket signage on display including Ballentine, Rheingold, Budweiser and Schaefer neons. We also spy a couple rare Krueger signs. Thanks to BCCA member and beer legend Steve Adydan for another superb contribution.

Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966)

Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton play an aging, boozy couple who use Sandy Dennis and George Segal to torment each other. There’s some excellent vintage signage on display here. Narragansett, Krueger, Lowenbrau and Heineken bar signs are all spotted as is an outdoor Ballentine . We also get a great Piel’s neon and a sunburst style wall sign.
