Tyrin Turner and Larenz Tate star in this urban drama that features a ‘Beers on Film’ record 5 varieties of “Forties”…Olde English 800, St Ides, Colt 45, Coors and Coors Light. Damian Chapa, Jesse Borrego and Benjamin Bratt star in this gang bangin’ drug drama based on the true life of poet Jimmy Santiago Baca. There are nice cans in this one including vintage Budweiser and Pabst Blue Ribbon and a half quart Colt 45. Bud bottle and Tecate also appear.

We also get a beautiful Budweiser Clydesdale sign. If that wasn’t enough, legend Billy Dee Williams appears in a painting pitching his trademark Colt 45.

This is the story of the rise of Los Angeles gangsta rap pioneers N.W.A.. Old Milwaukee cans and St Ides 40’s are spotted throughout. O’Shea Jackson Jr. nails the portrayal of his father Ice Cube and Paul Giamatti is convincing as the sleazy promoter.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982)

Sean Penn, and his Colt 45 t-shirt, gives a memorable performance as ‘Spicoli’ in this classic 80’s teen comedy. He also drains a Hamm’s in Jefferson’s car and pulls bongs in his bedroom with background Lone Star bottles. Thankfully for Judge Reinhold there wasn’t a beer in frame during his ‘Phoebe Cates’ fantasy scene.

F/X 2 (1991)

Brian Dennehy is back for sequel with some good Bud bow tie neon. A bug eyed Bryan Brown appears with a pretty good Schlitz sign and a UNIDENTIFIED green bottle. Help us ID this mystery beer. There’s also a subtle Colt 45 sticker. I don’t believe there were any beer scenes in the original F/X.
