Former heavyweight champ ‘Rocky’, Sylvester Stallone, trains his rivals son, Michael B. Jordan, for a title fight. The squared circle features Tecate ads on the canvas, ropes and corners and on the ring girls cards. Announcer Micheal Buffer has a beer cameo and there’s also a fuzzy, background Carta Blanca sign and a keg with a logo I don’t recognize.

Lonely are the Brave (1962)

Kirk Douglas plays a cowboy who goes to the city to get imprisoned in order to spring his friend. There is great bar room stuff on display including cases of Pabst Blue Ribbon, Carta Blanca, Burgermeiser, Coors and Budweiser. There are also Carta Blanca signs and sixers. Carroll O’Conner (aka Archie Bunker) abbeers in between Schlitz and Burgermeister neon.

Born on the Fourth of July (1989)

Oliver Stone nabbed an Oscar for ‘Best Director’ for this bio-drama about Ron Kovic who was paralyzed in the Viet Nam war. Tom Cruise stars and is spotted with bottles of Miller High Life and Carta Blanca. Willem Dafoe and Tom Sizemore abbeer with fuzzy bottles of what I believe to be San Miguel.

Lou Diamond Phillips stars as doomed 50’s teen rocker Ritchie Valens in this bio-drama that features plenty of Miller High Life. Esai Morales co-stars with numerous bottles and a great flat top can. The boys abbeer together with bottles of Carta Blanca while in Tijuana. There’s also a Budweiser bow tie neon and coffee shop sign.

Criminals George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino stumble into a vampire bar and mayhem ensues. There’s a nice mix of brew including a Bud bow tie noen, a bright green Mickey’s sign and a great Lone Star six pack. We also spot Harvey Keitel, Juliette Lewis, Tom Savini and Danny Trejo with the fake brand Cerveza Chango.

Jane Fonda falls in love with injured Viet Nam vet Jon Voight but is still married to soldier Bruce Dern in this war drama. There’s a nice array of clearly placed brews including Carta Blanca and Michelob bottles & Budweiser and Olympia cans. A youthful Jonathan Banks also appears.

Everyone’s favorite stoner duo are at their best in this, their debut film. There’s a nice outdoor Carta Blanca sign in the Tijuana scene and we get Chong extinguishing a hash fire in Cheech’s lap with a bottle of Heineken.
